Nordic Paragliding Open

With 4 out of 5 nations currently in favour of the Slovenian bid we're set to go to Slovenia in 2009. In the last minute there were some reservations regarding airspace issues, but the proposing organiser (myself!) managed to document possible solutions - more about that later.

Now the website will go through a revamp, with a new option added that should make people real happy: I'll make the registration fee payable Online with Credit Cards,

Hi All,

 The Nordic Open is in a unique situation atm; there are currently 3 different organisers/venues bidding to hold the 2009 event.

As far as I recall this has never happened before, and hopefully it is an indicator of the increasing popularity of the event.

The 3 possible venues are:

Vågå, Norway, organised by a local club

Chamonix, France, organised by aSwedish club in collaboration with locals in the Chamonix area, and

Predvor, Slovenia, organised by myself and Slovenian national team pilot Gasper Prevc.

The Nordic representatives are meeting in Iceland next week to, among other things, decide which of these bids will be favoured. I'll make sure to keep you all posted as soon as I have the news,
